Josh’s Sno Shack opened its first location at 71st and Garnett in Tulsa, OK on an overcast, rainy day in May of 2005.
Having 3 years of experience in the sno cone industry and 1 year of college under his belt, Josh embarked on a journey that would take him to the uttermost parts of the earth. Okay, maybe just the uttermost parts of Tulsa. Opening day was the first test. Would Josh’s Sno Shack be just another sno cone stand that closed at the very sight of clouds? NO! Josh’s Sno Shack promised to offer its customers a fluffy shaved ice experience, regardless of the weather.
Being a young college student, Josh saw that Tulsa needed “something to do” in the summer. He dreamed of a weather forecast that read, “110°F with a100% chance of snow.” With a promise and dream Josh’s Sno Shack began to redefine the sno cone.
Josh’s Sno Shack believes that a sno cone should be comprised of the softest shaved ice and the sweetest, most flavorful fruit flavors. The refreshing treat should melt in your mouth, with no worries of chipping your tooth on a crunchy piece of ice. Josh’s believes that the customers deserve the best! To offer anything less is sno cone blasphemy. Offering the best is what Josh’s Sno Shack has been doing for over 7 years.
